Self-storage is space that you rent, typically within a warehouse that has been partitioned into individual storage units of varying sizes. Rental periods are flexible and you can usually store for as little time or as long as you like. At Clear Space Self Storage, we offer secure, clean, individual private rooms that can be used to store most things that you’ll need to store.

We offer lots of options in terms of size so you can find the most suitable space for your needs and budget.

On the first day of your storage, you pay for the first 4 weeks in advance (or your full storage period if it is less than 4 weeks) and provide us with your bank details that you’d like to use for future payments by direct debit.

After this initial payment, you don’t need to worry about anything else; we will automatically take future payments at the dates agreed with you and will send you the invoices for each payment you make.

No, we don’t like hidden charges at Clear Space. The only thing you pay for is the weekly rental for your chosen size of storage unit, £10 for your unique unit security cylinder lock and any insurance cover you need.

That’s fine. You can move to larger or smaller units if your storage needs change.

For example some of our customers need extra space for a short period, when they do they just rent an additional unit for the time they need it.

As soon as you are able to move in. Contact our team and arrange the day you would like your storage to start and the size of unit you need. You can then move in on the day you’ve arranged.

Yes, you need to make sure that your items are insured while they are stored with us. If your items are already insured on a policy that covers them while they are in store, we will ask to keep a copy of your policy details on file.

It is also important that you ensure the policy does not lapse. 

If you don’t have a policy that cover the goods, you can arrange insurance through our specialist cover at a very competitive rate.

When you start your storage you will need to bring a few items with you, these are:

  • A photographic ID – either your driving license or passport
  • A recent utility bill or bank statement
  • Details of an emergency contact for you
  • Bank details that you want to use for your initial and future payments

 

The Clear Space storage facility is covered by digital CCTV 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and all access to the site is monitored by our team.

You will be supplied with a brand new cylinder lock for your individual unit. Only you will have access to the keys for your unit. In addition, you will be issued with a individual security FOB that will give you access to our facility during open hours. Your FOB will be uniquely coded to you. We do not recycle room locks.

Out of hours the building is secure, fully alarmed and linked to a central monitoring control station and the emergency services.

Our published prices are based on a 4 weeks agreement. If you need a shorter storage commitment, we can accommodate your needs for a small premium.

We ask for 7 days notice as this helps us to plan the space we have available for new customers. We need your notice that you will be vacating your unit in writing or by email, so that we have it on file for your account. 

You can store almost anything. There are a few things that you can’t store including anything illegal or stolen. If you are unsure about anything you are intending on storing, please speak with our team who can provide you with a definitive list of items you are prohibited from storing.
